অগ্নিগিরির আগুন দেখেছি আমি বাগান পোড়ে ছারখার হতে,
সোনাকে গলিয়ে গহনা বানাতে দেখেছি আমি বানিয়ার হাত পোড়াতে,
আগুনে পোড়ে মাটিকে ছাই হতে দেখেছি আমি কুমারকে বাসন বানাতে।
আগুনে পুড়ে নতুন ঘরকে ধূলিসাৎ হতে দেখেছি আমি চাইনি পুড়িতে,
আমি কত আগুন জ্বালিয়েছি, পুড়িয়েছি কত কাঠখড়, আগুন চাইনি নিভাতে,
আমি তোমাকে ভালোবেসে সুখী হতে চেয়ে বিরহনলে পুড়ছি, চাইনা বিদায় বলতে।
