সেই যে কবে গেলে চলে,
ফিরে না এল, কেন চলে গেল?
তুমি কেন এমন হলে,
কেন মনে ব্যথা দিলে,
কেন, যাবার কালে ফিরে না তাকালে?
মনের দুঃখ কা'রে বলি,
কেউ না জানতে চায়,
অন্তর্জ্বলায় জ্বলছি দিন রজনী মন জ্বলছে তুষানলে।
কেন এমন হল,
অপোমান আমি, ফিরে আস,
মনানন্দে অভিনন্দন জানাব,
কুসুমাসরে ঝরা ফুল বিছিয়ে তব পথে,
বরণ করব বনফুলে গাঁথা মালা পরিয়ে গলে।
